Board Member Training

FirstService Residential - Nevada, LLC, has written and coordinated a specified board member training program.  ECM provides this training free of charge to the board members of our associations.  We feel strongly that this training provides a solid ground for new members to learn about HOA’s, meetings, state statutes, etc and provides a great “refresher” course for those who have been volunteering their time for years.

The Board training session covers many important topics including Director Responsibility, Committees and their roles in the community, Board meetings, parliamentary procedure, the role of the management company, developer transition, making and enforcing rules, reserve study, financials, budgets, collections, insurance, and architectural control.  The session is generally a two hour course moderated by the President of ECM, Jamie McCafferty and other professionals in our industry. The course is a general overview of these topics.  ECM also offers additional modules on each of these topics that allows board members to delve into specific items of interest to their specific community.
These are scheduled training sessions with the individual communities.

FirstService Residential - Nevada, LLC takes great pride in offering an educated staff which is required to take continuing education courses on an annual basis to ensure we are providing the most up to date knowledge on all HOA related topics.  We are also extremely proud to be able to offer this education to our homeowner board members to allow them to EXCEL in their roles as board members for their communities.
